How do I install my sign?
Back-Lit Acrylic Plaque — What You Get
- Full-size installation template (standoff hole layout + cord pass-through)

- UL-listed plug-in power supply with pre-wired low-voltage lead (standard wall outlet)

Installation (no electrician needed):
Tape up the template, drill the marked holes, set anchors, mount the standoffs, place the plaque, tighten the caps, and plug it into a wall outlet. That’s it.
Notes:
If you want the cord hidden (recessed outlet or in-wall concealment), have an electrician handle that optional step. Always confirm landlord/city rules before mounting.
Do I need a permit?
No—for a plug-in, back-lit acrylic plaque used indoors as a decorative feature, a city sign permit is typically not required. It’s treated like interior décor, not exterior signage or hard-wired electrical work. That said, building policies can vary, so it’s smart to confirm with your landlord/property manager and follow any house rules (e.g., where you can mount, cord routing, or using existing outlets).
Will my sign be weather resistant?
- Back-lit Acrylic Plaques (plug-in): No. These are for indoor use only—the plug-in adapter and low-voltage connections aren’t sealed for weather.
- Non-illuminated Acrylic Plaques: Yes, they can be used outdoors when fabricated for exterior use (exterior-rated acrylic/finishes, stainless/aluminum standoffs, and sealed fastener penetrations).
How long does it take to receive my sign?
- Mockup & Quote: ~24 hours after you send your logo/specs.
- Production: ~6–8 business days after approval.
- Shipping: ~3–5 business days (insured ground).
